In late 2018 Miller Precast Ltd. fabricated two 8.2m long, 80,000lb bridge abutments for the Ministry of Transportation's Pinewood River Bridge #1 project near Fort Frances, ON. The bridge abutments included cast in anchor bolts for ease of installation on site as well as cast in galvanized armouring angle for impact protection during normal use. The abutments also included monolithic ballast/retaining wall so that there was no additional concrete to be cast on site, just place and carry on.
